O. G. Diaz

This is a fictional account of a Combat Tracker unit, assigned to the Binh Dinh Province of South Vietnam in 1969. The story encompasses the formation of kindred bonds among nineteen and twenty-year-old males, as they struggle to survive a deadly foe, a hostile environment, indifference to their suffering by those at home, and their own inept leadership.

About the Author

Oscar was born In the Central American nation of Honduras. He arrived in the U.S. in 1958, when it was fashionable to enter the country with all the proper documentation. A Louisiana State University graduate with a degree in accounting. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Revenue and Taxation as a tax administrator. Sandi, his wife, and Oscar have two children and four fantastic grandkids. He is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in one of two combat tracker teams with the 75th Combat Tracker Detachment, a generally unheard-of military formation designed to track down an elusive enemy.
